Masterpieces shining at Hong Kong's Jewelry Show

Xinhua, March 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

The 32nd HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewelry Show opened Wednesday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, attracting nearly 9,000 potential buyers from 77 countries and regions to purchase their ideal products there.

A variety of stunning finished pieces are on display at the Jewelry Show with a number of designs inspired by the beauty of nature.

Shining examples include a ring featuring yellow diamond to depict Vincent Van Gogh's Sunflowers masterpiece, while a jadeite collection takes its prompt from a traditional Chinese painting of a pine tree, complete with diamond leaves and sapphire fruit designs.

Among other eye-catching products on display are "The Bridges of New York", a collection of 12 pieces inspired by iconic New York landmarks.

Among Wednesday's highlights of the Jewelry Show is the launch of a new Natural Diamond Quality Assurance Mark by the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong.

The initiative aims to maintain Hong Kong's reputation as an international diamond trading hub for both traders and consumers, as participants of the scheme are committed to not selling man- made or synthetic diamonds or any other non-natural diamonds of a similar nature.

The show, which runs through Sunday, will also stage a range of jewelry parades, networking events and trade forums. Endi
