Xinhua, March 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

The seasonal influenza virus has caused 70 fatalities in Greece so far, the Greek Center for Disease Control and Prevention said Monday.

According to the center, 28 patients were currently under close observation in intensive care units, while 149 patients had received intensive treatment since the start of the flu season.

Health officials noted that the seasonal flu will come to an end by the end of March.

Experts recommended people at high risk, such as the elderly and those suffering from cardiovascular or respiratory illnesses, to get an anti-flu shot.

They also urged those with flu symptoms to get medical care and anti-viral treatment without wasting time. Endit
