10 killed in rain-related incidents in Pakistan

At least 10 people including three children were killed and several others injured in separate rain-related incidents across Pakistan on Monday, local medical reported.

Dunya TV reported that the country's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province was the worst-hit area where five people were killed and several others injured in separate incidents of roof collapse.

Those killed included two women and a kid of the same family who were sleeping inside their house in Karak area of the province when roof of their house collapsed due to heavy downpour.

Separately in provincial capital of Peshawar, two people were killed when their house caved in.

On getting the information about the incident, rescue teams and residents arrived at the scene and shifted the bodies and the injured to nearby hospitals.

In the country's northwestern tribal area of Mohmand Agency, two children and a woman were killed and two others injured in a roof collapse incident.

Separately in capital city Lahore of the country's eastern Punjab province, two people were killed and three others injured when roof of an animal shed collapsed.

The heavy rain started lashing the country on Thursday night and the downpour is expected to continue hitting the country in the next two days. Endi
