Afghan forces kill 4 militants in 24 hours

Units of Afghan police backed by the army killed four Taliban militants and injured three others during series of operations across the country over the past 24 hours, Interior Ministry said in a statement released Sunday.

One more militant was captured during the operations which have been conducted in Nangarhar, Kandahar, Ghazni, Herat, Farah and Helmand provinces over the past 24 hours, the statement asserted.

According to the statement, Police have also discovered a number of arms and ammunitions.

It didn't say if there were casualties on security forces.

Taliban militants fighting the government haven't made any comment. Enditem
