Leader of pro-India Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammed Sayeed on Sunday was sworn in as chief minister of Indian-controlled Kashmir.

The region's Governor N N Vohra administered oath to 79-year- old Sayeed at a function in Jammu, the region's winter capital.

Sayeed will be heading a coalition government with rightwing Hindu nationalist Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). Endi
