Botswana's two representatives in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) club competitions were booted out of the competitions on Friday and Saturday respectively.
Botswana's Township Rollers lost to South African glamour club Kaizer Chiefs in the second leg match 0-1 Saturday.
Rollers had narrowly lost the first leg match in Johannesburg 2-1 after conceding a goal deep into injury time. The home side needed just a 1-0 win to progress to the next stage of the competition via away goal rule but failed to do so.
Army side Botswana Defence Force (BDF XI) lost to Tanzanian club Young Africans on aggregate score in the CAF Confederations Cup on Friday night.
BDF XI went into the second leg trailing by two goals after losing the first leg match 2-0 in Tanzania a fortnight ago. They fought hard on home turf and managed to win the game 2-1, and going out with an aggregate score of 2-3. Endi
