Panda couple in Belgium fosters possibility to have baby next year

A pair of giant pandas in a Belgian zoo have shown encouraging signs to have baby next year,the zoo said in a statement during the Chinese Spring Festival.

It has been nearly one year since Hao Hao and Xing Hui, the pair of giant pandas arrived in Pairi Daiza Zoo, their new home in Belgium, showing good relationship for each other.

The Zoo said in a statement that the two pandas have contacted twice in "the right time" in recent 7 days.

Hao Hao, the female, manifested all the pre-mating signs including her ovulation peak. And Xing Hui, the 5 years old male, yet sensitive to the presence of the female, has not sufficiently shown the dominance and maturity to "conclude" due to the beginning stage of sexual maturity. Endit
