Toronto Raptors dropped their fourth consecutive game in a 113-89 loss against Golden State Warriors on Friday night NBA action.
After losses to Houston, New Orleans, and Dallas, Toronto drops to 1-4 since the All-Star break and 37-21 overall on the season.
"That was a good old fashioned woodshed butt kicking that started from start to finish," said Raptors head coach Dwane Casey following the 24-point defeat.
Golden State's defence was dominating in the first half, holding Toronto's offence to two season lows.
Toronto's offence was held to 11 points in the first quarter and 33 points in the first half, the fewest points Raptors have scored in any quarter and half on the season.
"There is no excuse for that type of performance," said Casey. "They are a very good team. Most of it was them and the other part of it was us."
Toronto was also held to a franchise-worst 1-for-19 in the first quarter from the field, a 5.3 percent shooting percentage.
Toronto's previous worst field goal percentage was 6.7 percent when they shot 1-for-15 from the field in the fourth quarter against Pacers on Nov. 13, 2012.
"We're in a funk right now. We got to find out way out of it," said Casey. The league is not going to feel sorry for us. We can't feel sorry for ourselves."
With 24 games remaining on the season, Toronto remains in second place in the Eastern Conference behind the 46-12 Atlanta Hawks. Endi
