Gas supply to Slovakia suffers cut, but no grounds for concern

Xinhua, February 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Slovakia doesn't need to adopt any crisis measures concerning gas supply which has suffered cut, announced Slovak Economy Minister Pavol Pavlis after an extraordinary meeting with directors of gas transport companies on Friday.

"Gas supplies to Slovakia are stable, even though they've been cut by 38 percent. At the same time Slovakia's gas reservoirs are filled to around 40 percent of their overall capacity," added Pavlis.

"Gas for the public, schools, hospitals and industry has been, is and will be provided. All measures adopted before the winter season are functioning at 100 percent, and there's absolutely no reason for concern," concluded Pavlis. Endit
