Beware of incompetence, Xi tells officials

Xinhua, February 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Officials should bear in mind the risk of incompetence and constantly work to improve themselves, Chinese President Xi Jinping has said.

Xi made the remarks in the preface to a series of training books for officials on a wide spectrum of topics.

"Party members get to where they are by learning, and they have to rely on learning to walk toward the future," Xi said, calling for more study, and practice for officials.

"Officials should work harder to avoid perplexity and blindness when their knowledge and abilities are not up to the task," said Xi, telling them to study a wide range of subjects and broaden their minds.

Xi also called on the Party and government to guide officials to learn well, improve their confidence in the socialist path with Chinese characteristics and boost their professional skills. Endi
