Singapore stocks close 0.68 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 23.32 points, or 0.68 percent, to close at 3,402.86.

A total of 1.51 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 41 billion Singapore dollars (1.04 billion U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 270 to 165, while 498 others finished unchanged.
