U.S. stocks were closed mixed amid roughly downbeat economic data Thursday, as Wall Street continued to digest Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen's remarks on monetary policy in her testimonies.

The Dow edged down less than 0.1 percent, and the S&P 500 fell 0.2 percent while the Nasdaq added 0.4 percent. Endite
