Ma Jian disqualified as China's national political advisor

Vice Minister of State Security Ma Jian was disqualified Wednesday as a member of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

The decision was made at the 25th chairman and chairpersons' meeting of the 12th CPPCC National Committee.

The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) announced on Jan. 16 that Ma was under investigation for suspected serious discipline and law violations. Endi
