Chinese stocks close lower Wednesday

Chinese stocks ended lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.56 percent to finish at 3,228.84 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index retreated 1.53 percent to close at 11,539.7 points.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.93 percent to end at 1,876.75 points. Endi
