Argentine defender Eduardo Dominguez scored a late penalty to earn hosts Huracan a 2-2 draw against Venezuela's Minero de Guayana on Tuesday.
The visitors appeared set for victory when Zamir Valoyes slotted from the spot after he was brought down by Patricio Toranzo eight minutes from time.
But referee Adrian Velez awarded another penalty six minutes later when Daniel Montenegro was fouled by Julio Machado, and Dominguez coolly converted.
Valoyes had given his side an early lead at the Tomas Duco stadium with a low free-kick before Lucas Villarruel's strike drew the Argentine side level minutes later.
In other matches on Tuesday, Argentina's Racing Club won 4-1 at home over Paraguay's Club Guarani, Venezuela's Deportivo Tachira held Peru's Sporting Cristal 1-1 and Ecuador's Emelec whitewashed Bolivia's the Strongest 3-0.
The Copa Libertadores is Latin America's top club competition, comprising teams from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. Endi
