French business climate stable in Feb.

Business climate in France has been stable in February from a month earlier on unchanged appreciation of the country's business managers, official data showed on Tuesday.

Business climate composite indicator was at 94, the same level for three months in a row, but remained under its long-term average of 100 points, French national statistics bureau Insee said.

Turning point indicators lost one percentage point to 0.8 percent which mirrors a slight deterioration of business climate relatively to the long-term tendency, it added.

Over the period, business leaders expressed pessimism over the situation of retail trade whose index fell by four points to 99.

The business climate in industry and services have also decreased by one point compared to January data, while building construction was at 89, up by one point. Endit
