Porto beats Boavista 2-0 in Portuguese league

Porto beat Boavista 2-0 on Monday night in the 22nd round of the Portuguese soccer league, at the Bessa stadium in Porto, north Portugal.

Colombian forward Jackson Martinez opened the scoring in the 80th minute and Algerian midfielder Yacine Brahimi added another with a right-footed effort in the 87th.

Porto dominated the match and wasted several scoring chances in the first half through Colombian forward Juan Quintero and Jackson Martinez.

Porto stands second in the Portuguese league with 52 points after Befica while Boavista stands 13th with 21 points. Endi
