Jordanian and Kuwaiti leaders urged the Arab nations to boost their cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

At a meeting in Amman, King Abdullah II of Jordan and Kuwait Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jabir Al Sabah urged to step up cooperation among Arab countries to combat terrorism and extremism, which have been engulfing the region.

Arabs and Muslims should unify efforts to fight terrorism, they said.

The two leaders also called on the religious institutions to play their role in raising awareness about Islam, which is a faith of moderation and tolerance, as well as to combat extremist ideologies.

The Kuwaiti Emir voiced support for Jordan and its efforts to eradicate terrorism.

The two leaders also discussed developments in the Middle East and the Palestinian issue. Endit
