Persepolis prepared for Lekhwiya match: coach says

Xinhua, February 23, 2015 Adjust font size:

The coach of Iran's Persepolis soccer club, Hamid Derakhshan, said Monday that his team is prepared to confront Qatar's Lekhwiya in 2015 AFC Champions League Group stage competitions.

"Our players are well-prepared for this match and we hope that our fans come to the stadium to support us. The players' self-esteem will be affected by the fans," Derakhshan was quoted as saying by Tasnim news agency.

"Persepolis will be different against Lekhwiya. We've analyzed the Qatari team and we hope to show a good performance against them," Persepolis coach, who is under pressure over the unsatisfactory results in Iran's Supper league matches, said.

Persepolis will host the Qatari soccer team on Tuesday in Group A of the 2015 AFC Champions League. Endi
