Singapore's former PM Goh Chok Tong wishes Lee Kuan Yew speedy recovery

Singapore's former Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong wished founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew a speedy recovery from pneumonia on his social network account on Monday.

Goh said he visited Lee Kuan Yew on Feb. 5 soon after returning from a trip to Myanmar. Lee was hospitalized at Singapore General Hospital's intensive care unit at that time.

"He was sedated but his medical parameters were within range," Goh wrote. "I understand that he has improved though he is still in ICU."

Lee Kuan Yew, 91, was admitted to hospital because of pneumonia on Feb. 5, according to news release by Singapore's Prime Minister 's Office on Feb. 21.

The announcement added that Lee's condition has stabilized, and he is conscious with the help of a mechanical ventilator to breath.

Several politicians in Singapore also sent their good wishes to Lee on Monday. Endi
