WASHINGTON -- The United States and its partners continued their air raids on the Islamic State targets inside Syria and Iraq in the past two days, the coalition said on Saturday.
The coalition forces, using bomber aircraft, launched an air raid near the northern border town of Kobani, in which two of the extremist group's fighting positions were destroyed, the coalition said in a press release. (US-Airstrikes-IS)

KHARTOUM -- Unidentified gunmen kidnapped 89 children on Saturday near the town of Malakal, capital of the oil-rich Upper Nile state in South Sudan, according to the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF).
UNICEF said in a statement that "gunmen have gathered outside a residential area, and carried out the inspection from house to house, and kidnapped the children, the majority of whom over the age of 12 years." (S.Sudan-Kidnapping)

ABU DHABI -- A massive fire broke out in an illegal workers' compound in Abu Dhabi on Friday morning, leaving ten people dead and eight injured, local media reported on Saturday.
The blaze started in a two-level commercial building of a tyre dealer on Friday morning whereas warehouse space was being used for illegal accommodation. (UAE-Blaze)

MOSCOW -- The eastern Ukrainian militia has swapped war captives with Kiev on Saturday evening, the Interfax news agency reported.
