Spanish stock market falls 0.29 pct, closes at 10,879 points

Spain's benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 dropped 0.29 percent on Friday to close at 10,879.30 points, down from the 10,910.40 points from Thursday.

IAG shares led falls on Friday losing 2.46 percent, followed by Caixabank, Abertis A, Grifols and Inditex which lost 2.34 percent, 1.34 percent, 1.17 percent and 1.02 percent respectively.

On the other hand, BME shares led rises climbing 2.56 percent, followed by Banco Sabadell, Abengoa "B", Bankinter and OHL which rose 2.02 percent, 1.67 percent, 1.60 percent and 1.00 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spanish risk premium stood at 115.80 points on Friday at closing time, declining from the 119.80 points of Thursday's closing time. Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.498 percent.

Despite falls on Friday, share values were up 1.3 percent on the week as a whole partly due to the negotiations between the European Union and Greece over the bailout. Endit
