At least 21 people were killed Friday as suspected Boko Haram fighters renewed armed attacks on three villages in northeast Nigerian state of Borno, witnesses said.

Members of the terror group stormed the villages near Chibok Town, where more than 200 schoolgirls were abducted 10 months ago in the southern part of Borno State, shooting sporadically, Dauda Ali, a Chibok resident who witnessed the attack, told Xinhua via telephone. (Nigeria-Boko Haram)

MOGADISHU -- More than 20 people were killed including two lawmakers and deputy prime minister hospitalized after sustaining injuries in twin explosions in Mogadishu on Friday, authorities say.

Somali Police spokesman Qasim Ahmed Roble said deputy regional administrator of Banaadir region in Mogadishu was also killed and several other people have been admitted in various hospitals in the city. (Somalia-Attack)

TRIPOLI -- At least 30 people were killed and 30 others injured on Friday when three car bombs exploded simultaneously in the eastern Libyan city of Al-Gubba, according to security sources and witnesses.

The simultaneous blasts targeted a local security building, a gas station, and residence of Akila Saleh Issa, a parliament leader, killing at least 30 people, a security official said. (Libya-Bombs) Endi
