1st LD: One dead, 13 injured in Mozambique train derail

One person died and 13 others injured after a train derailed in Magude town of southern Mozambique's Maputo province early Friday.

The train was scheduled from the Mozambican capital Maputo to Zimbabwe, with goods and passengers on board.

Among the casualties, 4 persons in critical condition were evacuated to the central hospital in Maputo, while others received medical assistance in a local health unit.

The Mozambique Railways and Ports Company has set up a commission to investigate the accident. Endi
