Myanmar Wushu athletes selected to take joint training in China

Myanmar Wushu gold medalists from Myanmar's second largest city Mandalay are selected to take joint training in China, according to the Myanmar Wushu Federation Thursday.

A total of eight athletes, who grabbed 15 gold medals in the 4th National Sports Festival in Myanmar, will go to China at the end of this month as a preparedness for the 28th SEA Games to be hosted by Singapore from June 5-16.

"Myanmar Wushu team is mainly to compete with players from Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam at the SEA Games and they are trying to achieve gold medals as many as they can," according to the Federation.

Myanmar Wushu team grabbed 15 medals including gold, silver and bronze at the 27th SEA Games hosted by Myanmar in 2013.

Myanmar Wushu players are under intensive training of local and Chinese coaches in Nay Pyi Taw. Endi
