Guinea president inaugurates health center constructed by Chinese firms

Xinhua, February 19, 2015 Adjust font size:

Guinea President Alpha Conde Wednesday inaugurated a health center constructed by China Hongqiao Group together with its partners in Boffa prefecture within Basse Guinea region, an official source said.

The center which has two consultation rooms, a laboratory, two hospitalization rooms, a resting room and a small emergency room, was constructed at a total cost of 500,000 U.S. dollars.

The construction of the health center will help to reduce the long distance locals travel to get medical treatment.

Conde used the occasion to reiterate his government's plan of "Zero Ebola infections in 60 days."

He urged the people of Boffa to collaborate with doctors to defeat the Ebola disease as soon as possible. Endi
