Singapore stocks close 0.03 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 0.94 points, or 0.03 percent, to close at 3,427.16.

A total of 927.3 million shares changed hands with turnover of 1.02 billion Singapore dollars (748.7 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 228 to 164, while 543 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 7.05 points, or 0.21 percent, to close at 3,426.22 on Friday. Endi
