Leaders of France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine on Sunday held a teleconference, demanding a strict observance of the latest cease-fire agreement struck in Minsk, capital of Belarus.

The four leaders, namely German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, demanded at the teleconference the warring parties in eastern Ukraine execute the comprehensive cease-fire agreement, adopted by the Contact Group to facilitate peaceful settlement in eastern Ukraine, without preconditions, according to an online Kremlin statement. UNITED NATIONS -- The United Nations Security Council on Sunday adopted a resolution on Yemen, deploring the actions of the country's Shiite Houthi group to dissolve the parliament and urging them to engage in UN-brokered negotiations.

In a unanimously adopted resolution, the Security Council reiterated its call for all parties in Yemen to resolve their differences through dialogue and consultation and reject acts of violence to achieve political goals. (UN-Yemen-Negotiations)

LONDON -- British Prime Minister David Cameron and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Sunday discussed in a phone call the situation in eastern Ukraine following a newly adopted ceasefire.

"They agreed on the importance of both sides respecting the ceasefire," a Downing Street spokesperson said in a statement. (Britain-Ukraine-Ceasefire)

COPENHAGEN -- The Copenhagen shooting incidents over the weekend appeared to come to an end with the identification of the alleged perpetrator on Sunday.

The man who was suspected of having shot two people dead in Copenhagen was 22 years old and born in Denmark, Copenhagen Police said on Sunday. (Denmark-Shooting)

LAGOS -- Nigeria's police in the northeast city of Damaturu where Boko Haram militants staged attacks frequently confirmed on Sunday the death of seven people with several others injured in a suicide bomb attack at the state central motor park.

State police spokesperson Toyin Gbadisoye, who disclosed this to Xinhua, said seven people including the female suicide bomber died in the explosion. (Nigeria-Attack) Endi
