Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on European Jews to move to Israel, following a deadly shooting at a synagogue in Denmark's capital Copenhagen, which killed one security guard.

"Jews were killed on European land just because they were Jewish," Netanyahu said at the beginning of the weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday morning, according to a statement from his office. (Israel-Europe-Jew)

TEHRAN -- Iran is installing a long-range radar system, Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base Commander Farzad Esmaili said on Sunday.

The system would be able to keep tabs on enemy bases as far as 3,000 km away, Esmaili was quoted as saying, adding that "with 3,000-km-range Sepehr radar, we can detect the enemies' breath inside their bases." (Iran-Long Rang Radar)

TRIPOLI -- Italy closed its embassy in Libya on Sunday, citing worsening security conditions here, a diplomatic source in the capital of Tripoli told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

"All the staff of the Italian embassy evacuated for security fears after receiving a piece of information on a possible attempted bombing on the embassy," the official said, noting that "no date of return has been specified." (Italy-Libya-Embassy)

TRIPOLI -- The Islamic State (IS) militant group claimed on Sunday that they have executed the 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians abducted in Libya.

Some IS Libyan affiliates' social webpage circulated a video purporting to show the beheading of the Egyptians. The victims, dressed in orange, were lined up near the seashore and forced to knee on the ground. (Libya-IS-Egyptian Christian) Endit
