Tony Oliveira named coach Tractor Sazi of Iran

Xinhua, February 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

Tony Oliveira was appointed as Iran's Tractor Sazi's head coach on Saturday night, Tasnim news agency reported on Sunday.

The 68-year-old Portuguese took charge of the Tabriz-based team on a one-and-a-half-year deal. The monetary terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Oliveira, who has returned to the Iranian club for the third stint, replaced local Rasoul Khatibi.

Khatibi was sacked in the wake of last Friday's humiliating home defeat to Padideh in the Iranian Professional League (IPL).

Tractor Sazi will represent Iran in the AFC Champions League in the upcoming season. Endi
