Three people were killed in a road accident in Bedfordshire, east England Saturday morning, and a man was arrested by police, local media reported.

A double-decker coach collided with an Audi car near Flitwick. The Audi car was carrying four people when the accident occurred. Three of them were dead, and the other one has been sent to a local hospital for treatment.

"Three men in the car were pronounced dead at the scene and a fourth man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, with serious injuries," a spokesperson for Bedfordshire Police said.

"No one in the coach, which was traveling from Kent, was hurt," the spokesperson said.

Local media said the coach driver was arrested in connection with the incident and taken to Luton Police Station for investigation.

The accident occurred just one hour before another fatal crash in Oxfordshire on Saturday morning, which involved about 40 vehicles.

At least one man has died, and six people were seriously injured, while more than 50 people have minor injuries in the accident, according to reports. Endite
