Porto beats Guimaraes 1-0 in Portuguese league

Porto beat Guimaraes 1-0 in the 21st round of the Portuguese league on Friday night at the Dragao Stadium in Porto, north Portugal.

Algerian midfielder Yacine Brahimi scored in the 31st minute after a pass by Spanish midfielder Oliver Torres when his powerful effort deflected off Portuguese goalkeeper Giovanaz Assis.

Porto dominated the entire game and both teams wasted several chances for goals.

Porto gained three points and stands 2nd in the Portuguese league with 49 points, just a point behind Benfica which is yet to play in this round, while Guimaraes stands 5th with 36 points. Endit
