French stock market index up 0.70 pct on Friday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 0.70 percent to close at 4,759.36 points on Friday, up 33.16 points.

Because of the better-than-expected German economic performance in the fourth quarter of 2014 and the oil price back up to 60 U.S. dollars, the CAC 40 closed higher with 25 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance.

Friday's top three gainers were Credit Agricole, up 5.56 percent, ArcelorMittal, up 5.01 percent, and Societe Generale, up 4.05 percent.

The three companies which lost most on Friday were Alcatel-Lucent, down 1.18 percent, l'Oreal, down 1.17 percent, and Lafarge, down 0.86 percent.

In the previous trading day, Feb. 12, the CAC 40 gained an advance of 1 percent to close at 4,726.20 points, up 46.82 points. Endite
