The Chinese Tibetan Losar, or new year, has been marked in the Nepalese Capital City Kathmandu on Thursday evening.

The Chinese embassy in Kathmandu hosted a grand ceremony in celebration of the Chinese Tibetan Losar.

Chinese ambassador to Nepal Wu Chutai inaugurated the cultural show where a group of artists from Ali District of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China performed dances on the occasion.

Talking to Xinhua, participants of the function said that Losar has a great significance in their culture and lifestyle.

"We have been celebrating Losar for many years in Kathmandu to promote our culture. We feel pride to observe it," 25-year-old girl Samten Dolma told Xinhua during the function organized at Hotel Yak and Yeti in Kathmandu. Endi
