Xinhua, February 13, 2015 Adjust font size:

A light civil helicopter crashed in an uninhabited area in the Czech Republic on Thursday morning, with the pilot killed in this accident, said local police said.

Pavla Kofrova, local police spokeswoman, said that no other people were on board the helicopter which crashed near Bohusovice nad Ohri.

The police were trying to find out the pilot's identity. According to local media, the man is an employee of the Czech Air Navigation Services (RLP).

RLP spokesman Richard Klima confirmed the death of an RLP employee, but said the fatal flight has nothing in common with the RLP. He said it was the pilot's purely private activity.

The sky in northern Bohemia was overcast with poor visibility on Thursday morning. It is not clear whether the accident was caused by the adverse weather. The causes of the crash are being investigated. Enditem
