Singapore stocks close 0.74 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 25. 40 points, or 0.74 percent, to close at 3,419.17.

A total of 1.03 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 27 billion Singapore dollars (954.9 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 301 to 152, while 485 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 10.33 points, or 0.30 percent, to close at 3,444.57 on Wednesday. Endi
