German benchmark DAX index closes slightly changed

The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Wednesday declined by 0.02 percent and closed at 10752.11 points.

The bluechip index had hardly changed on Wednesday since investors were waiting for the coming Special Meeting of the Eurogroup with Greece as well as the Ukraine crisis summit, said the German business daily Handelsblatt.

Sport giant adidas AG and the utilities supplier RWE AG St both adanced the most by 1.28 percent. Semiconductor producer Infineon Technologies AG and the agricultural company K+S Aktiengesellschaft climbed by 0.90 percent each. Deutsche Borse AG went up by 0.86 percent.

Deutsche Post AG dropped the most by 1.71 percent, followed by Continental AG with a 1.08 percent decrease. Deutsche Telekom AG slipped by 0.86 percent. Deutsche Bank AG lost 2.92 percent. Chemical group Merck KGaA slid by 0.37 percent.

The turnover stood at 2.73 billion euros (around 3.09 billion U.S. dollars). BASF SE was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 207.12 million euros (around 234.34 million U.S. dollars). Endit
