Xinhua, February 12, 2015 Adjust font size:

The heads of state of Russia, Ukraine, France, and Germany all arrived in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, for negotiations on Ukraine crisis Wednesday evening.

Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko was the first to arrive at the Palace of Independence in Minsk. He was welcomed by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, the host of the event, Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BelTA) reported.

The Minsk summit will also be attended by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the experts, the meeting may be the high point of intensive multilateral efforts aimed at finding a way out of the crisis in Ukraine, where more than 5,000 people have been killed since April last year. Endite
