Lester Hudson scored 40 points in Liaoning's 120-112 overtime victory over Zhejiang, which ensured the northeastern team a 3-0 record and a ticket to the Chinese Basketball Association league semifinals.

Liaoning led 26-18 after the first quarter that saw CBA MVP Hudson nail three straight three-pointers. The host side led 53-40 at halftime.

Zhejiang woke up in the second half as Lin Zhijie leveled the score with 4.9 seconds left. As Liaoning's Liu Zhixuan missed final shot, the match went into overtime.

Three-pointers were the key for Liaoning's victory. He Tianju, Liu Zhixuan and Li Xiaoxu sank four three-pointers in the last few minutes.

"Our defence wasn't very good in the second half, three-pointers saved us at critical moments," said Liaoning assistant coach Jie Jun.

Hudson had a game-high 40 points, as well as 15 rebounds and 13 assists. Eli Holman top-scored for Guangsha with 24 points. Endi
