Four people including two police had been injured as a roadside bomb struck a police van in the eastern Nangarhar province on Wednesday, spokesman for the provincial government Ahmad Zia Abdulzai said.

"A mine planted by militants on Torkham-Jalalabad road struck a police vehicle at around 10:00 a.m. (local time), injuring four people including two police and two civilians," Abdulzai told reporters.

Taliban militants, who are largely relying on suicide and roadside bombings to fight government forces, have yet to claim responsibility. Endi
