Employment rate rises in Sweden in Q4 in 2014

The employment rate rose in the fourth quarter of 2014 in Sweden, and more employed people now working full time, latest figures show.

New figures from Statistics Sweden show that the number of employed people aged 15 to 74 increased by 65,000 to 4,773,000 during the fourth quarter of 2014.

Men accounted for about two thirds of the increase.

The overall employment rate increased by 0.4 percentage points compared to the same quarter in 2013 and the data also show that the number of employed people continues to increase, too.

This is the fifth consecutive quarter that the number of persons working full time has increased. Compared to the same quarter in 2013, the number of full-time employees has increased mainly among women. Enditem
