At least nine people were killed and 25 others wounded when a rocket attack rocked Ukraine's military headquarters in the residential area of a government-controlled eastern town on Tuesday, authorities said.

Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and nine others wounded during the attack in Kramatorsk, said Yury Biryukov, an aide to President Petro Poroshenko. (Ukraine-Attack)

CAIRO -- Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi and his visiting Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin agreed on Tuesday to build a nuclear power station in Dabaa city in Egypt's coastal Matrouh province.

"I attended with President Putin the ceremony of signing a memo of understanding to establish a nuclear power station in Dabaa," Sisi said in a joint press conference with Putin following their talks at a presidential palace in Cairo. (Egypt-Russia-Visit)

KHARTOUM -- Four Sudanese soldiers were killed on in clashes between the military and rebel forces in the country's southeastern Blue Nile State, a Sudan rebel group said on Tuesday.

The SPLM army spokesman Arno Taloudy said in a statement that the rebel group, northern branch of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM), defeated the government forces when they tried to ambush them. (Sudan-Rebel-Clash)

BAGHDAD -- Six soldiers and five Islamic State (IS) militants were killed and 42 people wounded in a number of bomb attacks in central Iraq on Tuesday, security sources said.

The deadliest attack occurred in Salahudin province when a suicide bomber blew up his explosive-laden car inside an army base near a main road south of the city of Samarra, some 120 km north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, a provincial security source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity. NORTH SINAI, Egypt -- At least 22 militants have been killed as the Egyptian army launched several raids on their hideouts in northern Sinai province, a security official said on Tuesday.
