Seoul shares ended lower on Tuesday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) fell 11. 14 points, or 0.57 percent, to 1,935.86 at the close. Trading volume stood at 322.84 million shares worth 4.08 trillion won (3. 75 billion U.S. dollars).

- - - - VIENTIANE -- The Lao stock market finished Tuesday with composite index unchanged at 1,379.74.

A total of 33,346 shares worth about 220 million Lao kip (about 27,000 U.S. dollars) changed hands at the stock market.

- - - - TOKYO -- Tokyo stocks ended 0.33 percent lower Tuesday on concerns over Greek financial stability and the conflict in Ukraine.

The 225-issue benchmark was down 59.25 points, from Monday at 17,652.68. But the broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 2.80 points, or 0.20 percent, to 1,427.72.

Warehousing, machinery and nonferrous metal fell most among 33 industry groups, while mining led gainers.

The turnover was 2,165.4 billion yen (about 18.25 billion U.S. dollars).

HONG KONG -- Taiwan's share prices closed lower Tuesday with the weighted index down 27.8 points, or 0.29 percent, to close at 9,393.7, according to news reaching here from Taipei.

Turnover totaled 74.8 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 2.37 billion U.S. dollars).

HO CHI MINH CITY -- VN-Index, the stock market index of Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City bourse in south Vietnam, closed at 574.52 points on Tuesday, up 0.97 points or 0.17 percent against the previous trading day's closing session.

About 73.830 million shares worth 1.325 trillion Vietnamese dong (VND) (61.74 million U.S. dollars) changed hands at the southern HCM City Stock Exchange.

VN30-Index, the new benchmark index for the southern bourse, which tracks the 30 leading stocks by both market capitalization and liquidity, closed at 595.53 points, up 0.76 points or 0.13 percent.

A total of 26.402 million shares worth 645.1 billion VND (30.06 million U.S. dollars) were traded.

HONG KONG -- Hong Kong stocks rose 7.1 points or 0.03 percent to close on Tuesday at 24,528.1 points.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 24,583.79 and 24, 422.85. Turnover totaled 64.04 billion HK dollars (8.26 billion U. S. dollars).

HANOI -- Stock market index of Vietnam's capital Hanoi, HNX- Index, closed at 83.4 points on Tuesday, up 0.08 points or 0.09 percent against the previous trading session.

A total of 36.819 million shares worth 534.25 billion Vietnamese dong (25.02 million U.S. dollars) were traded at the Hanoi Stock Exchange.

JAKARTA -- Indonesian shares closed lower by 27.00 points, or 0. 50 percent, to a level of 5,321.47 on Tuesday.

DHAKA -- Bangladesh's DSEX (Dhaka Stock Exchange) Broad Index closed Tuesday at 4,786.69 points, up 74.12 points or about 1.57 percent from Monday.

Total turnover increased to about 2.99 billion taka (about 38. 39 million U.S. dollars) from about 2.68 billion taka (about 34.36 million U.S. dollars) on Monday.

KUALA LUMPUR -- The Malaysian stock market ended mixed here on Tuesday.

BANGKOK -- The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index Tuesday moved down 6.81 points, or 0.43 percent to close at 1,594.96 points.
