The European Union (EU) foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini on Monday confirmed that the EU foreign ministers have agreed to hold off fresh sanctions over Ukraine issue until next Monday.

"In order to give space for our diplomatic efforts to be developed with the maximum chances for success, We decided unanimously to put the entry into force of the measures on hold until Monday on Feb. 16," she added.
