Tokyo stocks rise 0.36 pct on robust U.S. jobs data

Tokyo stocks rose 0.36 percent as market sentiment was lifted by data showing a robust U.S. labor market, but gains were limited due to worries over Greece's fiscal future.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 63.43 points, from Friday at 17,711.93.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 7.73 points, or 0.55 percent, higher at 1,424.92.

Major gainers included insurance, rubber as well as pulp and paper issues.

The turnover was 2,175.2 billion yen (about 18.31 billion U.S. dollars). Endi
