Foreign policy chief of the European Union (EU) Federica Mogherini called for the revision of the European security strategy in response to the changing environment on Sunday.

Mogherini said the EU has planned to build a new broad and deep strategy to echo the transformed global and regional circumstances.

"In a rapidly changing world we need to have a clear vision of the way ahead. This is why I have launched a process of strategic reflection to guide the EU's foreign and security policy," Mogherini said. (EU-Security Strategy)

AMMAN -- Royal Jordan Air Force said Sunday it will continue airstrikes against the Islamic State (IS) militant group.

In a press briefing in Amman, Royal Jordan Air Force Commander Major General Mansour Jbour said the size and volume of air strikes will depend on targets.

Over the past three days, air force attacked a total of 56 IS targets, he said, without saying whether those targets were in Syria or Iraq. (Jordan-IS-Airstrikes)

MOSCOW -- Russian President Vladimir Putin said leaders of Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine have agreed to meet in Minsk next Wednesday, provided that certain positions are agreed upon by then, Interfax news agency reported Sunday.

TEHRAN -- Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Sunday that no nuclear deal is better than a bad deal, as Iran and world powers gear up for a deadline by the end of March.

"I agree with an agreement (on Iran's nuclear issue) ... but no agreement is better than any agreement which undermines the interests of our nation," Khamenei said in a meeting with Iran's air force commanders. (Iran-Nuclear Deal)

SEOUL -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea fired five short-range projectiles, presumed to be tactical missiles, into east waters Sunday afternoon, reported Yonhap News Agency citing the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The five projectiles were fired off between 4:20 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. local time from Wonsan area in eastern DPRK into a northeasterly direction. Those are estimated to have flown about 200 km. (S.Korea-DPRK-Missiles) Endi
