Xinhua, February 8, 2015 Adjust font size:

At least three people were killed and five others injured when a bomb went off near a camp of peace militiamen in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Tirah Valley, local media reported.

Dunya TV said unidentified militants planted the bomb near the camp and detonated it with a remote controlled device.

All the killed and injured people were volunteers who were supporting the government in its war against militancy in the valley. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

The incident happened in Nari Baba area of Tirah Valley, a main town of Khyber Agency where the Pakistani Army has been launching an offensive, codenamed "Khyber-1," against militants since October. Endi
