French stock market index down 0.26 pct on Friday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 experienced a decrease of 0.26 percent to close at 4,691.03 points on Friday, down 12.27 points.

At the end of the business day, the CAC 40 closed lower with 29 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease, while EDF stayed the same as previous trading day.

Friday's top three gainers were Alcatel-Lucent, up 3.51 percent, Societe Generale, up 1.09 percent, and Credit Agricole, up 1.06 percent.

The three companies which lost most on Friday were Legrand, down 2.76 percent, Pernod Ricard, down 1.90 percent, and Air Liquide, down 1.54 percent.

In the previous trading day, Feb. 5, the CAC 40 gained an advance of 0.15 percent to close at 4,703.30 points, up 7 points. Endit
