The tripartite talks on Ukraine crisis, involving the Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, started here Friday evening in an attempt to find a peaceful solution to the escalating armed conflict in Ukraine.

The talks of the three leaders were held privately without the participation of delegation members or any experts, Interfax news agency reported, quoting Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying. Endite
