Dortmund's Kevin Grosskreutz sidelined with injury

Dortmund's Kevin Grosskreutz will be sidelined with a thigh injury for six weeks, the "BVB" announced on the club's official homepage on Thursday.

Grosskreutz sustained an injury during Wednesday's 1-0 defeat to Augsburg. The German international felt pain at the upper side of his right thigh and was unable to continue therefore teammate Neven Subotic replaced the defender at the 66th minute.

According to the club doctor Markus Braun, Grosskreutz tore a bundle of muscles in his right thigh. He is expected to return to the pitch in six weeks.

Juergen Klopp's men got caught on the last place of the Bundesliga standings with only 16 points from 19 games. To make things worse they suffered their 11th defeat against ten men Augsburg on home soil.

The "BVB" encounters 15th placed Freiburg for a relegation battle on Saturday. Endite
